Human Saliva Fact

Human saliva contains the naturally occurring protein known as optorphin. It attracted notice due to its possible use as an analgesic. Opiorphin is thought to work by preventing the body's natural painkilling amino acids, called enzyme, from being broken down.
Brain chemicals called enkephalins is link to opioid receptors in the nervous system and spinal cord to lessen pain perception. By delaying the breakdown of these enzymes, opioids prolong the analgesic impact and may even enhance the body's inherent painkilling processes.

Although opiorphin's possibilities as a pain reliever was sparked by this discovery, further research is required to completely comprehend its efficacy, safety, and usefulness in pain treatment. Opiorphin research is still in its early phases, and questions about its precise function and consequences for chronic pain management still need to be answered.
